Daniel J. Pomeroy

Daniel Pomeroy has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1982. After graduating magna cum laude from St. Michael’s College and with high honors from Seton Hall University School of Law, Mr. Pomeroy served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Clifford, Associate Justice, Supreme Court of New Jersey. From 1982 through 1985, Mr. Pomeroy was an associate at the defense firm of Connell, Foley and Geiser prior to forming predecessor firm Mortenson and Pomeroy in October 1985. In 2012, he co-founded Pomeroy, Heller, Ley, DiGasbarro & Noonan, LLC. Mr. Pomeroy is a fellow in both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Foundation of the American Bar Association.

Karen E. Heller

Karen E. Heller joined Mortenson and Pomeroy in 1996 and in 2012 co-founded Pomeroy, Heller, Ley, DiGasbarro & Noonan, LLC. She is an accomplished brief writer and is responsible for preparing many of the firm’s written submissions in connection with appeals, trials, and substantive pre-trial motions in a variety of civil matters, including automobile and homeowners defense, insurance coverage matters, and medical malpractice cases. She also has significant expertise in insurance coverage. She has handled more than 75 appeals in the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the Appellate Division. Together with Dan Pomeroy, she has represented insurance companies in some of the most important insurance coverage cases in New Jersey, including Wadeer v. New Jersey Manufacturers Ins. Co., 220 N.J. 591 (2015).

John M. Ley

John M. Ley joined Mortenson and Pomeroy in 1997 and co-founded Pomeroy, Heller, Ley, DiGasbarro & Noonan in 2012. Mr. Ley has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1996. After graduation from Rutgers College in 1991 and from the Saint Louis University School of Law, cum laude, in 1995, Mr. Ley served as law clerk to the Honorable Edward J. Toy, J.S.C. from 1996 through 1997. Mr. Ley’s litigation practice includes the defense of insurance companies in both Superior Court and through Forthright in litigation concerning Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits. Mr. Ley also practices in the areas of auto and general liability, defending insurance companies and insurance entities in insurance coverage dispute litigation

Paul M. DiGasbarro

Paul DiGasbarro joined predecessor firm Mortenson and Pomeroy in September 2005 after concluding a clerkship with the Honorable Christine L. Miniman in the Superior Court, Law Division, Passaic County. He concentrates his practice on the defense of automobile insureds, as well as the litigation of insurance coverage disputes. Mr. DiGasbarro is skilled in all phases of pre-trial discovery and trial work, and has conducted many depositions and examinations under oath as well as trying Superior Court cases and uninsured motorists/underinsured motorists (UM/UIM) and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) arbitrations. He speaks Italian.Mr. DiGasbarro recently completed a week-long American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Trial College. He was also named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine for 2010.

Jeffrey D. Noonan

Following his admission to the bar in 2006, Mr. Noonan worked for a general practice firm in Westfield, New Jersey as well as a busy insurance defense practice.During law school, Mr. Noonan clerked for the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, Major Narcotics Division, where he assisted in the investigation and prosecution of narcotics cases under the direction of the Hon. Pedro Jimenez, J.S.C. (then Deputy Attorney General Pedro Jimenez).Mr. Noonan is President of the Scotch Plains, New Jersey Library Board of Trustees and a member of the Union County Bar Association. He serves on the Board of Trustees of The Cornerstone School of Summit and volunteers as a soccer coach in Scotch Plains.
Mr. Noonan concentrates his practice in the defense of automobile insureds and in litigating insurance coverage disputes.
